Overview
Assistant Professor, U.S. Politics & Political Institutions. The Department of Political Science invites applications for a tenure-track position in U.S. politics and political institutions at the assistant professor level. Responsibilities
Teach four courses per year, including undergraduate courses on U.S. political institutions, constitutional law, judicial process, and courses within the candidate’s specialization. Contribute to advising pre-law students across the University as needed. Qualifications
Required Earned doctorate in government or political science at the time of application or by hire date. An active research agenda with strengths in U.S. political institutions and related fields listed in the job description. Demonstrated effectiveness in undergraduate and graduate teaching to support the department’s B.A. and M.A. programs. Preferred Broadly trained candidates with diverse theoretical, analytical, and methodological skills who can work with undergraduate and graduate students at the master’s and doctoral levels. Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. Appointment and Salary
Exempt (not eligible for overtime). Regular appointment. Salary information commensurate with experience. Application Materials
