The Sonnenalp is looking for a Full-Time Year-Round Front Desk Assistant Manager with the desired start date of September 1st, 2025.

Typical Schedule:

Day and night shifts, some weekends and all Holidays required

Primary Purpose of Position Assist the Front Desk manager with effective management of Front Desk operations and staff. This position directs and works with managers and employees to successfully execute all front office operations, including guest arrival and departure procedures, according to the Sonnenalp and LQA Standards. Strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize the financial performance of the department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and motivate the front desk team to deliver exceptional service.

Provide hands‑on support, stepping into front desk roles when needed.

Foster a collaborative, positive work environment built on trust and respect.

Oversee daily operations to ensure quality standards and guest satisfaction are met.

Monitor financial and occupancy goals, assisting with strategies to maximize revenue.

Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and service standards.

Handle guest issues promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.

Collaborate with Reservations and Sales to manage occupancy and business levels.

Support hiring, training, and development of front desk team members.

Take a supervisory role in emergencies, ensuring guest and team safety.

Qualifications

High School diploma/GED plus 3 years in front desk or guest services, OR a 2-year degree in Hospitality/Business plus 1 year of experience.

Prior supervisory experience in hospitality required.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office; hotel systems experience preferred.
