at our Coppabella Moorvale Joint Venture (CMJV) – Coppabella Mine. Our CMJV mine complex consists of two open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometres southwest of Mackay that produce premium low-volatile pulverized coal (LV-PCI) for export markets. Responsibilities include: Demonstrate safe behaviours and provide visible safe leadership to team members Fulfill statutory Shot Firer requirements at the mine Conduct blast area controller activities as required Perform audits against company standards Magazine keeping and facilities management Candidate Profile: Licensed Shot Firer, QLD Coal Appointed Supervisor qualifications (S1, S2, S3, G2 or equivalent) Experience in open cut mining operations within the coal industry At least 4 years' experience in a blast department Well-developed communication and influencing skills Commitment to safety as a way of life Desirable: Certificate IV in Training & Assessing The lifestyle: This position is offered on a 7-day on and 7-day off roster and can be residential (Moranbah or Nebo), DIDO, or salary-sacrificed FIFO. Residential employees may access a $15,000 housing allowance and can salary sacrifice up to 50% of rental payments.
