Assistant Nurse Manager - Women’s Care Unit

Novant Health . Role: Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) for a 20-bed Women’s Care Unit providing clinical and administrative leadership. Responsibilities
Provide
clinical and administrative leadership —supporting the team through mentorship, scheduling, PTO management, performance evaluations, and audits related to hand hygiene, barcoding, and Joint Commission readiness. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and support the team’s growth through the
clinical ladder program . Manage care for a diverse patient population including GYN and breast surgeries, pregnancy loss, NICU mothers, C-section readmits, couplets (mom and baby), and general women’s health needs. Maintain a
5:1 to 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
depending on acuity, delivering high-quality, compassionate care. Collaborate with leadership to implement innovations and drive teamwork; participate in the ongoing admissions flow from the ED, OR, IR, and Women’s units. What We’re Looking For
Background in Women’s Health with acute care experience Prior leadership or charge nurse experience strongly preferred Strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high patient turnover Passion for team development, process improvement, and quality care Qualifications
Education:
4 Year / Bachelor’s Degree required. BSN preferred. Graduate Degree preferred. Experience:
Minimum of two years of clinical RN experience (preferred). Prior demonstrated nursing leadership (preferred). Licensure/Certification:
Current RN licensure in the appropriate state required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units required. Unit/Dept Specific Required Certifications. Additional Skills (required):
Successful completion of generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Ability to successfully complete Leader Education & Training. Job Opening ID
