Global Partners is looking for a Food Service Supervisor/ Deli Lead. The Fresh Foods Supervisor is responsible for directing and supervising all activities in the deli and food service department and its personnel to achieve merchandising, sales and guest service goals established for the department. Your contributions will be valued and rewarded. Responsibilities

Direct department personnel, meet department goals and objectives, and communicate with store management and department supervisors. Select, on-board and coach all new team members. Schedule all team members. Offer product information, provide selling suggestions and active sampling, and consistently express appreciation to guests. Take guest orders and ensure orders are completed on time and to the guest’s satisfaction. Ensure department personnel follow all applicable food safety and sanitation guidelines and policies. Order products and supplies to maintain stock levels and keep merchandising standards. Oversee the preparation and serving/merchandising of deli and food service items (breakfast, lunch and dinner entrees, fried foods, pizzas, prepared salads, soups, sandwiches, roller grill items, hot and cold beverages and snack items). Display deli and food service items following merchandising guidelines. Follow product recipes without deviation. Rotate deli/food service items to ensure quality, safety and control shrink. Receive merchandise, audit invoices, process orders and manage storage areas. Periodically count products for inventory purposes. Complete all paperwork in a timely and accurate manner. Process cash register transactions, give change and refunds as needed. Use scale printer to verify weights and pricing. Monitor product pricing, signage and placement, including shelf tags and signage. Maintain clean, neat and orderly sales counters, prep areas, warehouse shelving and walk-in coolers/freezers. Ensure all department personnel use proper safety equipment and procedures. Perform other duties as needed or assigned by management. Work with deli ingredients including meats, vegetables, fruits, spices, nuts, flavorings, sauces and oils. Benefits / Perks

High School Diploma or Equivalent. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Flexibility to work weekend, holiday and/or evening shifts and assist other locations as needed. 2 years prior experience in a fresh foods environment, preferably in a managerial role. Must have reliable transportation and an active driver’s license. Serv-Safe certification preferred. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Work in walk-in coolers and freezers; stand for long periods; bend and twist; and frequently lift and/or maneuver merchandise and supplies. Must be dexterous with equipment such as knives, slicers, burners, ovens, fryers and rotisseries. We value passion and potential.
