Job Summary:
The
Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider
will serve as a Full-Time APP to provide care to patients within the
Department of Medicine at SUNY Upstate Downtown Campus. Responsibilities will include providing expert level clinical care and coordination of care via a full range of services that will improve quality of patient care, assessing and evaluating patients, ordering appropriate laboratory testing and diagnostic studies, arranging for referrals, testing, consultation and therapeutic services, and maintaining outstanding relationships with families, referring physicians, and all members of the health care team. Minimum Qualifications:
NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required. Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant and current National Certification consistent with the clinical practice are also required. Candidates must have a NPI number and be Medicare enrolled with a Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) or be eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire. CPR-BLS Certification is required at the time of appointment. Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in specialty area preferred. Work Days:
Days with rotating nights, weekends, and holidays.
