Job Description - RN Manager - Structural Heart (25000AM1)
Overview The Structural Heart Manager is responsible for implementation, management, operations and evaluation of models, processes and standards to improve Operations and Volume Growth, Care Delivery, the Patient Experience, Quality, Outcomes, and Care Management.
Responsibilities
System-wide strategy integration and distribution across network
Assisting in the development and implementation of the strategic plan for Structural Heart
Creates business information reporting strategy in order to identify and act on areas of opportunity that support the business objectives of the department.
Utilization of volume and market share data to improve the service
Identifying practice/business development opportunities to increase market share
Collaborates with UH Ventures and representatives within HHVI to evaluate new opportunities, and plan, organize and implement partnerships with external companies.
Monitoring and utilization of professional revenue and profitability targets
Provides information and analysis for operations management of the Structural Heart program on all key indicator data, benchmarking, and related measures.
Works with Director, Managers, and Coordinators on implementing operational goals related to business development, volume growth, patient and customer satisfaction levels, quality and process improvement initiatives.
Capital – capital of significant scale and/or service importance
Monitoring and utilization of service quality scores and regulatory compliance
Service-level patient experience ratings (CGCAHPS) and inpatient experience (HCAHPS)
Focuses on the infrastructure within Harrington HVI aimed at improving quality and operations
Provides leadership and direction in departmental improvement initiatives
Human resource management and oversight
High Reliability Medicine/Value Improvement Process Initiatives
Length of Stay (LOS) management
Risk assessment and mitigation
Ensure priorities of the heart and vascular service line are addressed in service goals and prioritization, including a speak-up culture, citizenship, academic mission, community benefit and philanthropic development
Focus on patient-centric transitions of care and the care continuum to align with payment programs, including bundled payments
Maximize access to services through screening initiatives, outreach activities, community clinics, and communication strategies
Physician recruitment
Physician Practice Management
Collaborate with your physician partner to: Ensure that the Service provides appropriate physician coverage to meet the needs of the patients
Oversee productivity of Physician employees within the Service
Provide annual evaluations of Physician employees who provide clinical, administrative or teaching services
Direct post-graduate and continuing medical education and assure compliance with the ACGME standards of quality and effectiveness of teaching programs
Additional Responsibilities
Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies and standards.

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, business or related field (Required) and
Master's Degree (Preferred)
Work Experience
5+ years experience in a related field (Required) and
Experienced with operations, data management, and continuous quality improvement (Required) and
Experience in ambulatory clinic operations (Required)
