Role and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the production manager with direction from the production lead, the technician will be expected to assemble a variety of equipment with minimal supervision. Communication with quality assurance of required inspections and issues is expected. Ability to use computer and learn the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) system. Candidate will be responsible for assisting in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the production workspace. Additional duties within the scope of the candidate’s abilities and position may be assigned by the production manager. Training is available where needed. Technicians are not working with electricity in the assembly process. Excellent position to develop a technical career.
Understand and configure component installations through utilizing BOM, drawings and schematics.
Use of documentation control and MRP system.
Lead a team performing the wiring of assemblies.
Communicate effectively changes to documents.
Perform in-process inspections and troubleshoot issues.
Follow safety and other general housekeeping procedures.
Must be able to read and follow written instructions, schematics and diagrams.
Identify problems and bring them to the attention of engineers and supervisor.
Use of computer.
Provide guidance and training to entry level personnel.
Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 2.5 hours at a time.
Locate and verify information in the MRP system.
Over 3 years of related experience
Ability to read and work from both mechanical and wiring diagrams and written instructions
Ability to troubleshoot problems in electrical circuitry and knowledge of electrical circuits
Ability to understand and configure component per instructions, drawing and schematics.
Good manual dexterity.
Ability to perform complex rework of both mechanical and electrical assemblies.
Familiarity with the use of various electrical tools such as meters, crimping tools, and mechanical hand tools.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Must be able to lift/carry up to 25 pounds.
