Heavy Equipment Mechanic – VA

McLean Contracting Company is looking to hire experienced heavy equipment mechanics to join our service team in the Chesapeake, VA region. Selected candidates will work on a wide range of equipment from marine cranes, piledriving equipment and marine to land fleet cranes, along with other mobile equipment. Ideal candidates will possess 5+ years of relevant experience, and a strong ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and make the necessary repairs to heavy construction equipment with little supervision. Responsibilities

Marine diesel repairs – ABYC Certifications a plus Ability to read/interpret electrical schematics. Experience with marine electrical systems. Ability to read/interpret hydraulic schematics. Experience with repairing hydraulic systems (pumps, motors, actuators, etc…) Crane repair, erection/disassembly – CCO license a plus Strong knowledge of friction cranes and Liebherr duty cycle cranes a plus Other Skills and Abilities

Must be at least 18 years old, have reliable transportation to work and able to pass a drug screen and criminal history background check. Benefits
