at M Moser’s New York office, you will help shape environments that balance beauty, performance, and emotion through light. Working closely with architects, interior designers, engineers, and brand specialists,

you’ll craft lighting solutions that bring our spaces to life—enhancing wellbeing, storytelling, and connection. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in architectural lighting and a curiosity for innovation. You’ll work hands‑on across concept development, documentation, visualization, and on‑site implementation—seeing your designs evolve from idea to experience. In this

highly collaborative and design‑driven studio , your work will help translate our clients’ values into light that inspires, guides, and transforms. Primary Responsibilities: Assist in the creation of architectural lighting concepts that enhance spatial experience, mood, and functionality. Contribute to design presentations and narratives that communicate intent clearly and creatively. Collaborate across disciplines to integrate lighting seamlessly into architectural and interior design strategies. Produce lighting layouts, details, and specifications using Revit and Bluebeam. Develop and maintain lighting schedules and fixture documentation in Revit / Excel. Perform lighting calculations in DIALux or AGi32 to evaluate performance and compliance. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure design integrity through all project phases. Prepare visual presentations and concept boards using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, or PowerPoint. Create renderings or 3D visualizations using Enscape or Lumion to support client engagement and design reviews. Participate in physical mock‑ups, product testing, and on‑site adjustments to fine‑tune lighting performance. Support construction administration efforts, including fixture aiming, adjustments, and final focus. Collaborate with field teams to resolve design or technical issues on‑site. Ensure quality and design intent are upheld through project completion and client handover. Stay current with emerging lighting technologies, control systems, and sustainability trends. Explore creative use of materials, daylight integration, and energy‑efficient design strategies. Contribute ideas that advance M Moser’s commitment to regenerative and human‑centered design. Job Requirements You are a thoughtful designer who understands that lighting is both art and science—capable of transforming how people feel, focus, and connect within a space. Qualifications & Key Competencies Bachelor’s degree or higher in Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Theatre Lighting, or Engineering. 2–5 years of professional experience in architectural lighting design. Proficiency in: • Revit (including family creation, parameter management, schedules, and visibility control) • AutoCAD • AGi32 or DIALux • Microsoft Office and Bluebeam • Enscape or Lumion (for rendering and visualization) Understanding of lighting principles, color, optics, and controls. Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills. Hands‑on approach, with confidence working in both studio and site environments. Creative problem‑solving and a collaborative spirit. Curiosity, energy, and a genuine desire to evolve professionally and technically.
