Focus Areas: Humanities (ELA + Social Science + Civics) STEAM Generalist Project-Based Learning/Interdisciplinary Schedule: FT/PT School day Extended Learning After School SY, Summer or Year-Round Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher and state teaching certification, preferred Previous experience teaching at the K-8 level is preferred Understanding of youth development principles and best practices in learner-centered education and project-based learning (PBL) Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines Excellent verbal and written communication and technology skills About Urgent, Inc. and Urgent Academy: (Miami, FL) Urgent, Inc. is a youth empowerment and creative arts nonprofit dedicated to helping young people develop leadership skills, career readiness, and creative expression through innovative out-of-school time programs.
