Encompass Position Summary The Irrigation Technician supports the Senior Irrigation Supervisor by carrying out day-to-day irrigation system maintenance, inspections, testing, and repairs. This role is hands-on, ensuring sprinklers, valves, controllers, and pump stations are functioning properly, and performing adjustments and repairs to maintain water efficiency and healthy landscapes. Responsibilities
Assist with preventative maintenance and repairs of irrigation systems, including valves, sprinklers, solenoids, and fittings. Perform wet checks and inspections of valves, pump stations, and sprinkler heads. Adjust sprinkler heads for coverage and ensure no overspray on sidewalks, signage, or buildings. Unclog and flush lines; repair or replace broken or clogged nozzles and heads. Support programming and seasonal adjustments of irrigation controllers. Respond to work orders for irrigation maintenance, repairs, and event support. Maintain daily logs of work performed and report system deficiencies to the Senior Supervisor. Operate utility vehicles and required equipment safely, including valve locators and T-handle keys. Keep irrigation supply inventory organized and notify supervisor of material needs. Follow all Encompass safety procedures and report hazards promptly. Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in irrigation, landscaping, or grounds maintenance. Basic knowledge of irrigation systems, controllers, valves, and sprinkler operation. Ability to perform physical outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Experience with hand tools, power tools, and irrigation-specific equipment. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Valid driver’s license; ability to operate utility vehicles. Job Details
