About the role No two days are ever the same as a Technician at First Onsite. One day, you might be helping a family get back into their home after water damage, and the next, you could be working alongside your team on a large demolition site. You'll work hands-on with a variety of tools and equipment while learning the ins and outs of emergency restoration and disaster recovery. Every project brings something new, and you'll always have your team right there with you to get the job done.
Safety Safety is a top priority in everything we do. You'll follow our safety programs and procedures while also ensuring compliance with industry and legislative requirements. While the work can be fast-paced and physically demanding, it's rewarding to see the impact you make when helping people and businesses recover. Basic computer skills will come in handy as you manage project updates, and you'll quickly become comfortable using industry-specific tools and technology.
Responsibilities
May participate in mitigation activities, including water extraction, fire, mold remediation, light demolition, tarping roofs, emergency board-ups, and setting/monitoring equipment
Vehicle maintenance cleaned, stocked, and ready for response
Maintain all Environmental, Health, and Safety protocols
Assist with crew sheets, room specifics, pictures, and daily field reports
Assist with tracking expenses and time for each project
Communicate project needs to supervisor and/or leadership
Assist in the completion of work orders for the daily work performed, including other necessary documentation
Perform tasks involving physical labor at building and construction projects, and demolition sites
Flexible to assist the team when needed on multiple service lines
Load and unload building materials, machinery, and tools
Clean and prepare a safe job site
Complete basic mitigation activities such as water extraction and demolition, bagging and transporting debris, setting up equipment for drying structures, and post-remediation cleaning
Qualifications
Possesses or can obtain Water Mitigation Certification within 1 year
High school diploma or equivalent
Restoration experience, preferred
Valid driver's license required
