Overview
Banquet Captain at Sandia Golf Club, managed by Troon. The role focuses on delivering superior hospitality service for club events. Pay rate is $10.00 per hour plus banquet gratuities. Key Responsibilities
Reviews assigned banquet staff functions and banquet menus prior to scheduled events. Conducts pre-banquet meetings with staff to ensure appearance and hygiene standards, assigns stations and partners, and reviews banquet event orders. Communicates with the Banquet Manager or assigned coordinator to ensure all details are planned for and met. Ensures changes and further instructions are implemented in a timely manner. Ensures appropriate quantities of china, glassware, silverware, linens, and other items are available for upcoming events; secures requisitions for items not in inventory. Checks room setup prior to events and confirms quantities of food items and timing with the Banquet Chef. Ensures proper handling and storage of equipment (china, glassware, silverware, linens, props) after use. Conducts random audits during functions to evaluate food and service; ensures food is served at appropriate temperatures and that upsell opportunities are met. Regularly reviews banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special events. Incorporates safe work practices in job performance. Performs other duties as required. Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; and three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Other Qualifications
