Red River Army Depot (RRAD) is located in northeast Texas, 19 miles west of Texarkana and approximately 170 miles northeast of Dallas. Oversee the planning, development and implementation of various environmental protection plans, directives or projects. Provide technical guidance in environmental protection compliance and pollution prevention matters. Revise established policies and procedures in order to resolve problems. Plan employee assignments to ensure a satisfactory degree of quantity and quality of work is performed. Resolve technical problems that employees cannot resolve. Requirements
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 is used to assist agencies and employees to avoid conflicts between duties and financial interest. This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R. Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights. This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed. This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time. Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance for access to Depot Production Computer System. All applicants are required to successfully complete the Civilian Education System Course and the Supervisory Development Course within 12 months of being assigned to the position.
