Thanks for your interest in Success Academy! We are the largest, fastest-growing, and highest-performing network of public charter schools in New York City. We run a village of families, children, teachers, staff and faculty, advocates, and supporters who work together to ensure every child in NYC has access to a fun, rigorous, whole-child education regardless of zip code or economic status. When you join SA, you help give every student who walks through the doors of one of our 57 schools in NYC a fair shot at reaching their potential. A background in education is not required. At Success Academy, we provide you with extensive training and a proven curriculum so you can focus on working with your students instead of building lesson plans. As we move toward our most ambitious years yet, we are looking for great minds with the drive to develop exceptional leadership skills, the collaborative spirit to elevate our learning community, and the passion to put their knowledge to work for profound social impact on behalf of children. Responsibilities
Deliver instruction using a proven curriculum and focus on working with your students in person in New York City. Supervise a classroom of 20+ students. Build strong, meaningful relationships with students, their families, and your peers and mentors. Assess and analyze data to chart student growth and tailor teaching methods accordingly. Engage in professional development opportunities with school leaders to benefit from targeted, in-the-moment feedback and coaching to improve performance. Collaborate with grade teams and pursue leadership paths, including opportunities to enter the school leadership track as an assistant principal or transition to the network office. Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree before your first day of work with Success Academy A rigorous and relevant academic major (e.g., biology, history, chemistry, economics, physics, English, mathematics, engineering) Ability to work in person in New York City (relocation stipend available for qualified relocations) Supervise a classroom of 20+ students What We Look For
