James H. Quillen VA Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated AP/CP Board-Certified Pathologist to join our team of physicians. Clinical Duties
The successful candidate will participate in general surgical pathology and non-gyn cytopathology sign-outs, sharing CP coverage and call responsibilities with three other pathologists. They will also share sign-out of peripheral blood smears and bone marrow aspiration and biopsy specimens with one other pathologist. The role includes providing clinical and didactic teaching to pathology residents and medical students, as well as participating in scholarly activities with available mentoring. Qualifications
Must be board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. A strong background in surgical pathology and cytopathology is required, with experience in signing out bone marrow biopsies and peripheral blood smears, or hematopathology fellowship training and board eligibility/certification in hematopathology.
