Lecturer - Sport Administration (pool)
to join our team. UCCS offers a diverse and inclusive learning environment that fosters innovation, growth, and the holistic development of its students.
Pay Range : $3,000 - $5,000 for a 3-credit hour course. Pay rate depends on the number and type of courses taught, and the education level of the lecturer. This position is exempt from FLSA overtime provisions.
Because this is a temporary appointment, you will not be eligible for benefits such as paid vacation, medical, or retirement, but you will accrue sick leave at 0.034 hours per hour worked.
Work Location : On-campus, online, or hybrid, depending on course modality. Remote teaching opportunities may be available.
Summary : The College of Business will establish a pool of
Lecturers in Sport Administration
for future temporary, non-tenure track positions, teaching classes in sport science for sport administrators. Classes may be on-campus, online, or hybrid. Applications will be reviewed semester by semester, and qualified candidates may be contacted when courses open. Note: The university does not sponsor work visas or permanent resident applications for this position.
Essential Functions
include:
Providing instruction to undergraduate/graduate students in-person and online.
Developing and scheduling student learning experiences to meet learning outcomes.
Creating evaluation tools to assess student progress.
Familiarity with learning management systems like Canvas.
Other duties as assigned by the College of Business.
Minimum Qualifications :
Master’s degree in Sport and/or Exercise Science or a related field (required).
Terminal degree (preferred).
At least one year of practice in sport management or related field (required).
Relevant teaching and industry experience (preferred).
