We are looking for a passionate and experienced Farm General Manager to lead our team toward success. Responsibilities

Oversee daily farm operations, ensuring adherence to organic practices and sustainability principles. Maintain organic certification and keep documentation to support certification. Lead daily morning meetings and delegate tasks for day-to-day operations. Track employee KPIs to maximize efficiency. Track and report farm employee payroll using relevant software. Maintain reliable communication with the farm owner and founder. Manage and develop our diverse team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Implement team-building strategies to enhance productivity and employee satisfaction. Supervise maintenance and care of poultry, ensuring nutrition, cleanliness, and welfare. Apply introductory mycology knowledge to incorporate beneficial fungi into farming practices. Coordinate with staff on the aquaponics system (tilapia) and explore sales opportunities. Oversee black soldier fly larvae breeding production, cultivation, and record keeping. Maintain poultry health and nutrition, troubleshooting health issues as they arise. Track and document farm activities including harvest, planting, maintenance, and garden mapping. Conduct regular water quality testing and monitor irrigation system performance. Utilize analytical record-keeping to monitor productivity, with emphasis on a non-profit setting. Use farm-grown foods to provide balanced diets for farm livestock. Prepare invoices, P&L reports, manage data, and facilitate communication using Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint). Maintain monthly Profit & Loss documents and keep complete records of receipts and expenses. Communicate with customers and oversee invoicing for farm-related products and services. Maintain outreach to current clientele and market products to potential buyers and clients. Coordinate with office staff to create pick-list menus for on-site retreats and catering. Keep the farm bountiful and sustainable, tending to livestock, gardens, and staff with care. May supervise up to two interns if hired. Requirements

Current residency on Maui, HI is required. 4-year bachelor's degree in horticulture, environmental science, ecology, biology, zoology, geology, business, or related field preferred but not essential. 5+ years of farm management experience. 3-5+ years of experience in poultry farming (duck/chicken). Introductory experience in mycology. Experience managing poultry health. Previous experience in aquaponics is preferred but not essential. Minimum of 5 years’ experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Access) in a professional setting. Strong communication skills, demonstrating intelligence, compassion, and understanding. Impeccable organizational skills and technologically savvy. Personable, collaborative management style that promotes teamwork. Valid Hawai’i Driver’s license and reliable personal transportation.
