YMCA of Orange County The YMCA of Orange County has an immediate need for a BODYPUMP Instructor at the Mission Viejo Family YMCA. We’re seeking a passionate and energetic instructor who can motivate participants, deliver safe and effective workouts, and create an inclusive, high-energy group fitness experience. The instructor will be responsible for teaching a weekly Tuesday class at 8:30 AM.
Responsibilities
Teach fitness classes; develop fitness routines, exercises, and choreography for participants
Implement fitness program based on the National Association and branch YMCA program standards
Promote programs to members and participants
Record participant counts, distribute and collect program evaluations, report incidents
Maintain housekeeping
Follow and enforce safety standards and other policies and procedures
Qualifications
BODYPUMP certification
Previous teaching experience preferred
Strong communication and motivational skills
Passion for fitness and helping others succeed
CPR and First Aid certifications (taught and paid for by the YMCA)
Skills/Abilities
Ability to positively motivate members/participants in fitness activities
Strong customer and results orientation
Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures
