Overview The Kidney Metabolic Account Executive is responsible for growing current laboratory testing business and securing profitable new business by building relationships, opening new accounts, and driving sales growth in the Nephrology call point. A clinical background and comfort level selling specialty testing to healthcare providers will help support this role in securing new business. This is a field-based sales role supporting a specific sales region and surrounding Nephrology markets in a specific territory.
Responsibilities
Drive sales through pre-call planning, post-call analysis and consistent follow-up with physicians and specialists
Target and secure new business
Provide overall support and expertise to new & existing accounts
Increase discretionary business through insurance access
Partner with and notify internal stakeholders on complex issues or when additional support is required
Provide immediate support for less complex issues
Leverage all tools and resources (including data, sales portal, target lists; Marketing Department, Laboratory resources, and regional or national resources as needed)
Maintain a breadth of knowledge of all connectivity products
Prepare and present proposals and bids
Ensure compliance with company polices and government regulations
Complete all administrative tasks thoroughly and promptly
Ability to travel throughout the territory as needed to support ongoing business growth
Qualifications Required Work Experience
Five years of experience selling to Nephrologists or related healthcare sales
Documented success with account ownership and growing new business
New business generation and Hunter mentality a must
Knowledge/Skills
Knowledge of Healthcare Industry and general economics of laboratory business
Ability to develop and sustain strong customer relationships, strong planning and organizational skills
Laboratory/Diagnostics sales experience strongly preferred but not required
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
CRM proficiency ideal in Salesforce/SFDC
Solid PC skills including Microsoft Software
Education
Bachelor’s Degree Required
