Electrical Technician

Job Description Description: SunVena is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Technician to join our team. The role reports to the Electrical Manager and involves completing service calls, diagnosing and troubleshooting solar panel systems and electrical components, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance on SunVena's electrical systems. The ideal candidate should be comfortable traveling to customer locations to perform repairs, install and test products, and instruct customers on proper usage. Successful technicians will possess excellent technical and mechanical skills, with basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Key Responsibilities: Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on PV inverters, string boxes, solar panels, and other components. Assist in commissioning solar arrays and monitoring systems during installation. Install batteries and manage on-site repairs, installations, and maintenance. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical issues. Build positive relationships with customers. Conduct mechanical/structural mounting of electrical equipment. Wire solar arrays/systems (AC and DC). Perform voltage testing following safety procedures. Adhere to quality, environmental, health, and safety standards and policies. Utilize electrical troubleshooting skills for power outages, shorts, faults, etc. Understand battery backup systems (e.g., Enphase, LG). Complete RMA processes and document projects accurately. Requirements: Ability to work safely at heights on ladders and in confined spaces. Physical ability to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment. Willingness to climb ladders, work on rooftops, and stand for long periods. Physical capability to bend, lift heavy equipment (>50 lbs), and work in confined spaces. Ability to work in various environments (hot sun, cold, rain, crawl spaces). Valid state driver's license. As part of our hiring process, candidates must pass a drug test.
