Teach specific classes in the designated discipline of Art History. Develop course syllabi and instructional materials. Maintain records, assign grades, and assess student progress. Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations of NOVA and the VCCS. Maintain current competence in the discipline or field of specialization. Essential Functions
Provide quality instruction by meeting assigned classes regularly; submit required records and reports; teach prescribed courses with established texts; and adhere to professional ethics as per College policies and regulations. Workload and Conditions
Adjunct faculty may teach up to 12 credit hours in fall and spring and up to 8 credit hours during summer session. Teaching load is based on student enrollment and staffing needs. The adjunct contract contains no guarantee of continued employment. May be required to perform other duties as assigned, including emergency declarations. Qualifications

A Master’s degree in Art History or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester credit hours in Art History Preferred Qualifications
