What will I do as an Assistant Valet Manager? As our newest team member, you will assist to oversee all aspects of valet parking operations and guest services. Ensure all associates greet and assist hotel guests and visitors in a professional and courteous manner. Oversee parking services and rates. Plan events as they relate to the Valet Parking Department. Forecast the impact of events on property parking operations. Ensure client satisfaction through relationship building and meeting client requests. Assist Valet Parking Manager with account management. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Oversee the proper functioning and operation of the valet parking facility and assist in policy decisions as approved by SP+ Hospitality. Maintain working knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures for the entire parking operation. Ensure SOPs are followed by all valet associates under supervision. Ensure high level final decisions regarding associates, clients, operations, and guests are run through the Valet Parking Manager for approval first. Demonstrate aggressive hospitality skills to ensure professional image and total guest and client satisfaction. Monitor the status of the parking operation, including personnel, operations, guest, loss prevention, and corporate office requirements. Assist the Valet Parking Manager in maintaining staffing levels and providing training and coaching. Maintain the culture and philosophy of SP+ Hospitality at all times. Qualifications

Essential Qualification Requirements

Special shift requirements vary by location. Availability to work all shifts and/or weekends is required. Punctuality and excellent attendance are expected. Education/Experience:

High school education or GED. Prior guest service and hotel experience preferred. Ability to do basic arithmetic and basic bookkeeping. License:

Valid state driver’s license with current address and acceptable driving record. Ability to drive a vehicle with manual transmission is a plus. Appearance:

Neat, clean appearance and full uniform at all times; follow all guidelines in the Associate Handbook. Languages:

Read and write English well; able to communicate effectively with clients, associates, passengers, drivers, and co-workers. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence; ability to write correspondence. Reasoning:

Apply common sense in following instructions; make sound judgments; enforce policies; exhibit patience in difficult situations. Other Skills:

Carry out tasks with minimal supervision and demonstrate fair, impartial judgment. Desirable Qualifications

Advanced Google or Microsoft software proficiency. Valet Parking software experience. Hotel management experience. 4+ years of service-related management experience. Proven ability to manage a team. Ability to communicate in other languages (Spanish preferred). Guest relations training and formal parking/hotel management training. College degree in hotel, hospitality, restaurant, or retail.
