Job Summary

Under moderate to limited supervision, the Statistical Analyst is responsible for statistical reporting requirements to support the Company's compliance with regulatory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

Continuously exhibit and uphold Core Values of Integrity, Accountability, Communication and Teamwork, Innovation and Customer Service.

Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual statistical filings and reports for applicable insurance rating and data collection bureaus

Search and compile policy information from Company systems for all lines of business

Run monthly edit programs on statistical data and make necessary corrections to ensure data integrity for statistical agencies

Analyze reoccurring data errors and make changes necessary to prevent future data errors

Partner with IT on data filings, edit packages and improvements to the stat collection and filings process

Verify data accuracy by reconciling statistical calls to state Annual Statement data

Cross-train on all reporting bureau statistical plans

Promote data quality within the company by analyzing data periodically and communicating findings to other departments

Administer various bureau and reporting agencies portals and sites by adding users, making changes to Company accounts and adding necessary data call reminders

Assist with determining changes required for proper statistical reporting due to company changes in products or systems

Prepare transmittal forms, affidavits, and other forms for the submission of data calls

Maintain statistical manuals and reporting documentation online with the most current and up-to-date versions

Respond to state requests, of moderate scope and complexity

Participate in and lead projects as assigned by management

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Intermediate knowledge of P&C insurance industry and products

Intermediate knowledge of insurance regulatory and compliance requirements

Intermediate proficiency in statistical reporting requirements

Basic proficiency in SQL programming language

Ability to follow written and verbal instruction

Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to exercise sound judgement in making critical decisions

Experience and Education

Statistical Analyst I

High School Diploma required

Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Six months of administrative or customer service experience, in insurance or financial services, preferred

Statistical Analyst II

High School Diploma required

Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Minimum of two years of experience in insurance regulatory compliance required

Certifications (CPCU, AINS, ARC) preferred

Statistical Analyst III

High School Diploma required

Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Minimum of four years of experience in insurance regulatory compliance required

Certifications (CPCU, AINS, ARC) preferred
