The Packaging Supervisor/Manager is responsible for the day‑to‑day packaging operations at Granules Consumer Health. The individual supervises, motivates, and supports the staff daily, applying a team approach and maintaining open communication. The Packaging Supervisor/Manager also plans, schedules, strategizes, and oversees all packaging activities while continually building quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Execute packaging planning based on marketing requirements, manpower, and equipment capacity. Ensure product quality meets specifications at all times.
Supervise a team in packaging, training them on SOPs, cGMP, investigations, CAPAs, protocols, and handling quality issues.
Maintain a GMP‑compliant work area and ensure production of high‑quality products while meeting FDA, OSHA, and company requirements.
Utilize available resources efficiently to produce products that exceed cost, quality, and delivery goals.
Handle packaging‑related business tools (ERP) and ensure accurate data entry.
Execute packaging exhibit, characterization, and validation batches, including cleaning verification/validation of packaging equipment.
Monitor packaging‑related change controls, deviations, investigations, and implement CAPAs promptly.
Enforce all safety procedures and SOPs.
Report to the departmental head about ongoing measurements, issues, corrective action status, and planned projects.
Perform other duties assigned as needed.
Requirements
BS in Science, Pharmacy, or related degree.
8–10 years of packaging supervisory/management experience within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
Must have bottling experience within a pharmaceutical/nutraceutical/food manufacturing environment.
Strong leadership, organizational, planning, analytical, and writing skills.
Knowledge of computer programs and time‑management abilities.
Strong ability to lead and motivate people and handle difficult situations with awareness of current employment law.
