The Medical Group Medical Director of Primary and Specialty Care in Montana Market, Butte, is a leadership position reporting to and collaborating with the market Medical Group Associate Chief Medical Officer. This role involves maintaining healthy relationships among providers and Intermountain Health, demonstrating patient-centric leadership, and overseeing clinical quality, process improvement, and strategic initiatives. Responsibilities include: Providing exemplary medical practice and leadership aligned with Employer's Framework for Excellence. Leading, managing, and coaching providers to meet clinical, quality, patient experience, and strategic goals. Participating in hiring, strategic planning, quality programs, and practice transformation. Ensuring effective communication among providers, management, and organizational leadership. Supervising and mentoring Medical Directors and provider groups. Managing financial aspects such as cost control, utilization, and value data. Collaborating on customer service improvements and provider engagement. Participating in provider recruitment, retention, and performance management. Supporting clinical excellence and reducing clinical variation through best practice implementation. Minimum Requirements: MD or DO with ABMS or equivalent AOA Board Certification in a relevant specialty. Active Medical License. Minimum two years of clinical experience in a relevant specialty and leadership in quality improvement projects. Effective communication skills. Physical Requirements: Verbal communication, hearing, and understanding spoken information. Operation of computers and office equipment, manual dexterity. Visual acuity to read monitors and documents. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Location:
St James Hospital, Butte, Montana Work Hours:
