The Global Security North America Physical Security team consists of a dynamic group of security professionals who are responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for our employees, clients, and assets in our retail and corporate environments in North America. Physical security professionals collaborate closely with key stakeholders across Global Security, Global Real Estate, Lines of Business (LOBs), other Corporate Functions (CF), local and federal law enforcement agencies, and peer bank institutions.
As the Events Security Specialist within the Global Security North America Physical Security team, you will oversee the security planning and execution at JPMC high-profile events throughout North America. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across Global Security, Global Real Estate, Lines of Business (LOBs), other Corporate Functions (CF), local and federal law enforcement agencies, and peer bank institutions to provide a safe and secure environment for our employees, clients, and assets. You will coordinate with JPMC event planning staff, GS Executive Protection, GS Regional Security, venue meetings/event staff, venue security personnel, and local emergency services personnel (police/fire/EMT) to develop comprehensive event security plans, including security operations orders and documentation of strategy.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct security assessments and develop event security strategies for JPMC high-profile events or public-facing events where JPMC senior executives will be present. Review and assess protective intelligence data and develop appropriate mitigation strategies. Incorporate existing Global Security assets, such as surveillance detection/counter surveillance and mobile patrols, into major events security planning. Lead event security teams in a matrixed capacity across the global portfolio to drive the strategic agenda and refine operational delivery. Foster, mature and sustain relationships and interdependencies withevent planning staff, LOB representatives, GS Regional Security Managers, Executive Protection, and other key partners to lead all facets of events security planning. Manage the major events platform to ensure event security data is populated, accessible and archived. Manage the surveillance detection/counter-surveillance program at major events and expand its scope to complement existing physical security measures at venues. Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
4+ years of relevant major event security management experience. 40%-50% travel required at minimum, with the ability to travel on short notice. High degree of comfort in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to operate from the tactical to the strategic level. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, able to collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders. Excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to work late nights, early mornings, and weekends. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Preferred Qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Initiative-taker and motivated; able to operate with limited supervision. Flexible and comfortable working with multiple, competing timelines/tasks. Direct experience in performing risk analysis, identifying vulnerabilities, and performing security reviews. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
