Overview
Location: Columbus State University. Full Time. Regular position in the Office of Admissions within the Enrollment Services Center (ESC). Base pay range reported in the job post: $35,868.00/yr - $49,802.00/yr. Responsibilities
Service and Support – Answer inquiries from prospective and current students and their families regarding recruitment, financial aid, admissions, student accounts, and registrar processes. Provide clear, accurate, and timely information to ensure a positive enrollment experience. Collaboration with Enrollment Departments – Support the enrollment staff and collaborate with departments within the Enrollment Management Division to address student needs efficiently. Customer Service and Communication – Manage inbound calls, provide guidance on enrollment processes and policies, and perform follow-up calls with documented call descriptions and solutions. Document Processing – Assist in processing enrollment documents and maintain accurate records. Ongoing Knowledge and Compliance – Stay current on program requirements, federal financial aid changes, and university policies to provide up-to-date information. Additional Duties – Perform other duties as assigned by management to support Admissions Office operations. Qualifications
Required: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, with at least two years of experience in a customer service-driven field, or a combination of relevant education and experience. Proven experience in customer service and general office functions. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to think critically and resolve inquiries. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, handling phone calls and computer tasks simultaneously. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge – Understanding of recruitment, admissions, financial aid, registrar processes, and university policies. Skills – Clear verbal and written communication, excellent customer service, multitasking, and proficiency with office software and enrollment management systems. Abilities – Maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment, work collaboratively with students, families, faculty, and staff, stay current on program updates and policies, and document interactions accurately.
