Provide online 1-on-1 tutoring to adult ESL/ELL learners. Adapt lessons to individual learning styles and goals. Leverage the Live Learning Platform to deliver engaging instruction. What We Look For In a Tutor
Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style. Expertise in Adult ESL/ELL and the ability to explain concepts clearly. Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles. Priority given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education. Compensation and How You’ll Be Paid
Base contract rates start at $18/hour, with increases for specialized subjects, up to $40/hour with the same student. Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice. Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like. Tutor remotely using our Live Learning Platform—no commuting required. Additional Information
Our AI-powered Tutor Copilot enhances your sessions with real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features. We handle the logistics—you just invoice for your tutoring sessions, and we take care of payments. Please note: Varsity Tutors does not contract with tutors in: Alaska, California, Colorado, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, or Puerto Rico.
