Base pay range: $29.75/hr Starting Pay - $29.75/Hour; Training Pay - $16.28/Hour Responsibilities Include
Provides safe and reliable transportation service by operating a school bus or other vehicle with a fixed or changing route. Exhibits ethical conduct and integrity; reports concerns about suspicious or inappropriate behavior to supervision. Reports to duty on time and maintains route on time, prioritizing safety. Physically assists passengers in evacuation of the vehicle in case of emergency. Immediately reports any accident or incident per Company policy. Follows Company Policy around student and/or passenger management. Informs appropriate personnel of problems and procedures. Presents a neat and professional personal appearance. Completes required paperwork (route sheets, time cards, vehicle repair requests) and submits on time. Maintains cooperative relationships with staff, customers, and passengers while promoting company goodwill. Safely utilizes vehicle equipment, including wheelchair lifts, radios, and emergency equipment. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years of age; for Tennessee School Bus Drivers, at least 25 years of age per state law. Must possess or be able to obtain all valid applicable state licenses and required certifications to operate company vehicles. Must meet physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening; safety-sensitive position with random testing per policy. Must satisfactorily complete and pass all training. Must practice defensive driving and maintain safe driving/work habits. Compliance with all applicable federal, state, county, district, and contract-specific Driver requirements.
