Assistant Coach PT

Position Status Part‑time
Summary This position will help manage the overall health care of Madonna University intercollegiate student athletes in conjunction with all athletic training staff. Maintains lines of communication with team physicians, coaches and other athletic trainers. Sport assignments will be determined by the Head Athletic Trainer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Attends and assists in running practices
Scouts other teams electronically and on site
Develops and implements practice plans
Works individually with players on skill development
Assists with fundraising
Attends high school and showcase events for recruiting
Assists in conducting summer camps, clinics, and other community service activities
Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring and training; planning, assigning and directing work of student workers; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university required with at least three to five years related experience and/or training. Master’s degree in human resources, Public Administration or related field strongly preferred. Must be proficient with computer database programs. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Strong knowledge of the workings of benefit processes and procedures. Ability to work in a high volume, busy environment while understanding the dynamics of human resources. Ability to work under minimal supervision and to work successfully with confidential information. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Experience working with various data and software systems. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
