Host
role is to warmly greet, seat, and assist guests in accordance with Ted's Bulletin quality standards and appropriately manage guest flow. The Host is a hospitality professional who is warm, genuine, and engaging, as well as efficient and accurate to ensure an extraordinary experience for all our guests. Summary of Essential Functions Greet guests and facilitate seating per Ted's Bulletin standards, which include prolonged standing and walking during the shift. Communicate effectively with guests both in person and over the phone, ensuring clear expectations using prescribed verbiage. Maintain an organized, stocked work area, including restrooms and the outside perimeter of the restaurant. Assist in clearing and cleaning tables, which may require reaching, bending, stooping, lifting, and working with cleaning agents. Know the food and beverage menu and speak to it from memory. Complete assigned side-work tasks. Take to-go orders, write orders, and ring them into the point of sale system. Navigate reservation and guest management systems efficiently. Practice proper safe food and beverage handling procedures according to local standards. Qualifications Experience in high-volume, upscale casual dining or similar service environment preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. At least 18 years of age (unless permitted by law). High energy and stamina; able to work in a fast-paced, mobile environment. Able to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day. Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Work calmly and effectively under pressure. Flexible schedule, including weekends and some holidays. Certified or able to be certified in responsible alcohol service as required by law. Effective communication skills in the primary language of the work location. Seniority level
