Job Summary The Basketball Instructor is a hands-on role that will lead athletes and provides expert instruction in their designated sport. The Volunteer Coach is directly responsible for providing the i9 Sports Experience and driving a positive youth sports culture on the field. Responsibilities Assist in the leading of practice sessions that focus on fundamentals, skill development, and fun Teach & demonstrate core concepts including Sportsmanship values With the help of established platforms, communicate game day information to players and parents Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills Qualifications Excellent communication skills Experience coaching, playing or officiating the sport Enthusiastic and positive attitude; able to work well with both the children and parent volunteers Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently & solve problems Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players Some responsibility in transporting equipment from each venue Ability to work a varied work schedule including weekends and some evenings (for the full duration of the season, 7 weeks) Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check EEO Statement Each franchised location is independently owned and operated and is solely and exclusively responsible for determining local hiring decisions, compensation, benefits, and other terms of employment.
