COD faculty are committed to facilitate and support student success in learning and to meet the individual educational needs of our diverse campus. The successful adjunct candidate will be committed to teaching in a multicultural environment and welcome the opportunity to work with students with diverse learning abilities. Opportunities may include a flexible schedule with daytime, evening, and weekend teaching assignments. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Adjunct Faculty instructors are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings. Courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as face-to-face, online, hybrid, and/or blended formats. In addition, adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluation and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction. Required Qualifications Minimum of a Master’s degree in the discipline or a related discipline to be taught; or a Master’s degree plus 18 graduate hours in the discipline to be taught. Additionally, faculty should have evidence of graduate‑level coursework (or significant professional experience) relating directly to the content being taught in the specific course or subfield. Ability to teach remotely with technology and experience in online or virtual teaching is preferred. Access to personal technology and a home computer with appropriate capability to teach online is required. These positions are paid by stipends for course assignments.
