Banquet Manager

This role is for someone ready to level up—someone who thrives on structure, energy, and the opportunity to lead by example. As the Banquet Captain, you’ll be right in the action, guiding teams through high-impact banquets, live events, and VIP experiences. You’ll turn plans into action, support your team, and deliver moments Guests won’t forget.

What You’ll Do Lead Events + Experiences

Execute banquet and amphitheater events based on Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)

Host pre-shift meetings and keep everyone aligned, informed, and ready

Ensure setups, service, and breakdowns meet Grand standards

Support + Coach the Team

Guide Associates during events—set expectations, offer coaching, and build confidence

Step in where needed and create a positive, performance-focused environment

Provide performance feedback and help Associates grow their skills

Own the Details

Manage inventory, monitor cash handling, and control liquor and supplies

Keep spaces clean, stocked, and ready for the next event

Track and report key information to the Banquets Manager

Drive Guest Satisfaction

Solve issues in real time and elevate the Guest experience at every turn

Maintain smooth communication with the Banquets Manager and other departments

What You Bring

2+ years of front‑house food & beverage experience (banquets a plus)

3+ years of supervisory or team lead experience

Bartending experience preferred (training available)

Alcohol Awareness training within two (2) months.

Solid communicator and organized multitasker

Understanding of food, liquor, and safety regulations

Must be able to secure license from Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA)

Responsible for following all relevant Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGR’s)

Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by Guest needs or event schedules.

Will involve standing/walking for extended periods and lifting during events.
