The Lecturer in Human Development will teach five campus-based courses during the year, provide academic advising to master’s students in the programs in the Department of Human Development, carry out program-related work, and be expected to contribute to the overall scholarly activities of the department. This position is for a 1-year appointment with the possibility of renewal.
Minimum Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have the following minimal qualifications:
Earned doctorate in one of the fields represented in the Department of Human Development (cognitive science in education; developmental psychology; measurement, evaluation and statistics; learning analytics) or a related field of inquiry.
Candidates must be able to teach introductory courses in two or more of the programs in the department as well as courses to support students completing their capstone projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated strength in empirical methods and theory in the psychological and social sciences.
Experience teaching and advising post-secondary students (graduate levelpreferred)
Record of academic publishing
Experience with online teaching.
