Under the general direction of the Chief, Surveys Coordination, the incumbent is a full journey level position, works closely with Office of Land Surveys (OLS) staff, Division of Right of Way and Land Surveys (RWLS) Resource Manager, Division of Procurement and Contracts (DPAC), and Project Delivery\'s administrative support personnel, responsible for the development and management of purchases and contract procurements, managing OLS budgets and expenditure, analyzing and maintaining statewide expenditure and workforce databases, and generating various reports providing consultative information and recommendations to the management. Multiple positions may be filled from this recruitment. This is a Limited Term position which may be extended to 24 months or become permanent. While working in an office setting, employee will work in a climate controlled environment. Teleworking accommodations may be possible and discussed during the hiring process. This position may be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on Caltrans’s evolving telework policy. Caltrans supports telework, recognizing that in‑person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksites with minimum notification if an urgent need arises.
