Position: High School Special Education Teachers Location: 8346 Hwy 23, Belle Chasse, LA Job Type: Full-time, Nine (9) months (182 days) per year according to PPSB School Year: 2025-2026 Salary Range: $61,667 - $90,223 for Certified Teachers Ad Valorem - 2.40 parish property (ad valorem) tax mills are dedicated to employee salaries. The annual receipts from this tax are distributed to employees twice a year, one-half in January and one-half in June. The amount of each employee's supplement is the employee's salary multiplied by the annual percentage (computed each year based on actual tax revenues). About Us

We are seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and certified High School Business/Career Electives Teachers to join our team. Belle Chasse High School is also seeking dedicated and compassionate Special Education Inclusion Teachers, preferably Math certified, to specialize in Math. In this role, you will work closely with general education teachers to provide support for students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive classroom setting. You will be responsible for ensuring that students with disabilities can access the general education curriculum and develop the academic skills necessary for success in math. You will also be responsible for ensuring Individual Education Plan (IEP) compliance, overseeing IEP, holding IEP meetings for your student case load. Key Responsibilities

Co-teach with general education math and science teachers to provide differentiated instruction to students with disabilities. Support students in mastering grade‑level math and science concepts, adjusting teaching methods as needed to meet diverse learning styles. Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring accommodations and modifications are effectively incorporated into lessons. Provide one‑on‑one and small group instruction to students requiring additional support in math and science. Create and modify instructional materials that meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles. Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, self‑esteem, and academic growth for all students. Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and support staff to share updates on student progress and discuss strategies for success. Host as well as participate in IEP meetings, team planning sessions, and professional development opportunities. Participate in school events, professional development opportunities, and extracurricular activities as needed. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Valid LA teaching certificate or the ability to obtain one with appropriate endorsements. Experience working with students with disabilities in a math or science setting is preferred. Knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and accommodations/modifications specific to math and science curriculum (preferred, but not required). Experience in teaching high school students (preferred, but not required). Math certified (preferred). Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and create positive, engaging learning experiences. Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Excellent attendance record.
