About the Role
Global Impact Group LLC is seeking Haitian Creole Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Haitian Creole is a core USCIS demand language, critical for asylum and immigration cases.
Responsibilities
Provide real-time Haitian Creole to English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders.
Interpret in immigration, legal, and administrative contexts with accuracy, neutrality, and professionalism.
Maintain strict confidentiality in line with USCIS/DHS compliance standards.
Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge requests.
Participate in required training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance reviews.
Qualifications
Native or near-native proficiency in Haitian Creole and English.
2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, healthcare, or government preferred).
Familiarity with interpreter ethics and confidentiality standards (NCIHC, ATA, RID).
Excellent verbal communication and cultural competency.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 federal clearance.
Compensation & Benefits
