Adjunct Faculty in Finance, Hybrid - Northwest Houston, TX Campus Provides quality education and maintains high standards of academic excellence in teaching assigned courses in the discipline. The Adjunct hybrid faculty roles teach assigned courses in person and asynchronously online. This role also maintains office hours as assigned.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Teach graduate‑level finance courses in a hybrid format (11 in‑person meetings per week, 2 hours each).

Utilize professional expertise to provide high‑quality instruction and enhance curriculum effectiveness.

Arrive on campus at least half an hour before in‑person sessions each week.

Use online learning platform to enrich student learning experience for the asynchronous component.

Be available to students via email, phone, text, and office hours to ensure timely feedback and academic success.

Establish high standards and ensure evaluation criteria are communicated.

Adhere to university policies and procedures.

Attend faculty meetings, workshops, or training as required.

Job Skills

Demonstrated knowledge of academic technology.

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and overall computer skills.

Demonstrated knowledge of academic evaluation.

Proficiency in oral presentation skills, planning, and organizing course objectives.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Effective time management skills.

Work Experience

Teaching experience at the college level and online teaching experience strongly preferred.

5 years of professional experience in a finance‑related field required.

Education

Doctorate Degree in Finance OR

Doctorate degree with 27 doctorate quarter credit hours (18 semester credit hours) in Finance (Banking, Investments, Securities, etc.). OR

Doctorate Degree in a Business‑related field with Master’s Degree in Finance or any Master’s degree with 27 graduate quarter credit hours (18 semester credit hours) in Finance (Banking, Investments, Securities, etc.).

Certificates, Licenses, And Registrations

Professional certification in discipline specialty (if applicable).

Other

Must be able to travel weekly to required location(s).

Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

Typical office setting.

Mobility within the office including movement from floor to floor.

Travel via plane, car, and metro may be required to perform this job.

Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week when business needs warrant.

Effectively communicate, both up and down the management chain.

Strong mental acuity.

Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Compensation Expected starting pay ranges from $2,300 to $3,100 per quarter based on assignment type.
