What You’ll Do
Perform ground operations in accordance with 14 CFR Part 121 operation specifications.
Ensure cargo and COMAT are inspected, packaged, labeled, loaded, and restrained per company policy, procedures, and applicable government regulations.
Verify the accuracy of all cargo, dangerous goods, and accompanying documentation for assigned flight(s).
Supervise and direct all ground support personnel assigned to handling, loading, and off-loading assigned aircraft.
Perform TSA and customs tasks as required.
Inspect and operate (or supervise the operation of) all cargo loading equipment, aircraft cargo doors, restraint systems and report any discrepancies to aircraft PIC and USA Jet Maintenance Control.
Perform tasks as required to keep the aircraft cabin and cargo compartments clean and orderly and equipment properly stowed.
Replace unserviceable aircraft loading equipment as soon as practicable.
Be flexible for on-demand, ad-hoc, 24/7/365 flight operations.
Maintain qualifications and recurrent training for job duties.
Ensure timely completion and submission of end of month paysheets and expense reports.
Actively participate in USA Jet Safety Programs and SMS. Report all safety concerns in a timely manner. Required to ensure that they and their co-workers are performing their functions in the safest possible manner.
Follow the standards of the Occupational Safety and Health organization with legal authority at the location at which they are working.
Perform other duties as directed by the Manager, Air Cargo Operations, or designated Supervisor (i.e., Director of Operations, PIC).
What You’ll Bring
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Experience as a civilian or military Loadmaster preferred.
Experience in on-demand cargo operations business highly preferred.
Fork-lift operating experience preferred.
Pass an initial, and random, Drug and Alcohol screening process as required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and a fingerprint based Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) and/or Security Threat Assessment (STA) as required by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
Hold a valid state issued Driver’s License
Must be physically able to operate company vehicles and equipment on airport and over-the-road
Must maintain a valid passport (U.S. or other nation).
Must travel for work as required.
Proof of eligibility for employment in the United States and a three-year employment history in the United States or Canada.
Have the capability to obtain a CANPASS for expediting through Canadian Customs.
