Posted Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 4:00 AM Purpose The purpose of the Inside Sales Representative is to generate new sales through data collection, lead generation, prospecting, data organization, data analysis, and phone contact. Phone calls will be aimed at fact collection, appointment setting, and closing sales. The objective of the role is to expand the reach of the Channel Prime Alliance sales force by initiating contact with prospective customers and selling them plastic resin. The Inside Sales Representative will be looked upon as a valuable resource to help grow sales. Areas of Responsibility / Tasks Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below. Essential Functions Responsible for qualifying all incoming new customer sales lead opportunities received through the CPA website and 800 number in a timely manner. Responsible for handling the sales and customer service functions for specific customers approved by CPA Management Team. Work closely with CPA Regional Commercial Directors during the qualification process to ensure proper account manager assignment. Based on input from the CPA Regional Commercial Directors, may act as primary salesperson for specific accounts. Work with the CPA Technical Service Team for grade recommendations and selection as needed. Interacts with the CPA Buyer and transportation group to gain necessary information for quoting purposes. Form and maintain strong working relationships with all internal departments. All Other Duties as Assigned Supervisory Responsibilities Not Applicable Competencies; Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA) To perform this role successfully, an individual must have experience achieving desired result(s) in their areas of responsibility. Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications Education: Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree. Experience: 1-3 years of relevant work experience preferred. Experience in distribution and supply chain preferred. Licenses / Certifications: Valid driver’s license – required. Language: Proficiency in English required. Bi-Lingual – Spanish or Portuguese is a plus. Work Environment / Conditions The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience, and therefore. Must be adaptable to
work in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office. This position is a hybrid in-office and/or work-from-home role. Physical Requirements / Demands The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to set up desk equipment including setting up equipment on top of desks and connecting cables and power cords under desk (requiring lifting, bending, pushing, pulling).
