Store Manager – Bath & Body Works
Bath & Body Works invites talented leaders to manage a high‑performing retail store where customers experience premium fragrances and personalized service.
Responsibilities
Attract, hire, develop, inspire, and retain top talent including the store leadership team (SLT).
Set and reinforce clear performance expectations and accountability with all associates.
Own and delegate leadership tasks related to customer experience, vendor relationships, and maintenance issues.
Partner with the SLT to support action plans that improve results and ensure effective execution of operational activities.
Implement and sustain floor set direction to optimize the business and bring the product story to life.
Perform opening and closing routines including bank deposits, receipt of shipment, and interpretation of company directives.
Provide individual and team performance feedback and reinforce selling expectations.
Lead exceptional in‑store customer experiences rooted in Our Values and elevated product knowledge.
Create genuine connections with customers through uncovering needs, sharing product information, demoing products, and making personalized recommendations.
Train, coach, reward, and motivate associates to improve selling and the customer experience.
All store positions require constant physical activity and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Maintain the store’s visual appearance and adhere to all safety standards.
Qualifications
Proven experience delivering sales, exceptional customer experience, and operational results in a fast‑paced environment.
2+ years of experience in a manager role, preferably in retail.
Thrives in a customer‑first retail environment and fosters a customer‑focused selling culture.
Passion for attracting, developing, and retaining top talent.
Effective communication skills, open to feedback, and ability to adapt quickly.
Ability to provide in‑the‑moment coaching to associates and de‑escalate situations.
Must be available to work peak days and times, including varied evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Education High school diploma or GED certificate or relevant work experience is acceptable.
