As
TSC Police Officer
working various hours on a 24-hour shift schedule, you will patrol campus buildings and grounds, enforce laws, rules, and regulations, provide escort services, and perform security duties. You will also assist with traffic management, write detailed reports, and perform safety duties at off-campus facilities. Additionally, you will engage in law enforcement activities related to the school environment, including mentoring students, mediating disputes, and crime prevention, in accordance with Florida State Statutes and departmental policies. The role requires independent judgment and discretion, under the supervision of a sergeant. Candidates must be certified law enforcement officers in Florida and either already certified as School Resource Officers or willing to attend training to become certified. Responsibilities include:
Patrolling campus and enforcing laws and regulations. Providing escort services and security at off-campus facilities. Assisting with traffic and safety issues, and reporting hazards. Collecting evidence and testifying in court as needed. Who We’re Looking For
Ideal candidates will have: High school diploma or equivalent. Florida Law Enforcement certification. At least one year of law enforcement experience. Compliance with Chapter 943, Florida Statutes. Bonus points for: Military or public contact experience (two years or more). Relevant college coursework or vocational training. What We Offer
Salary ranges from
