The Subsurface Geologist integrates geophysical, geological, and petrophysical data to characterize reservoirs and identify development opportunities. You’ll generate 3D geologic models, interpret logs, and advise drilling on target selection and risk assessment. This role requires strong technical skills, an analytical mindset, and experience translating data into actionable field development insights.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Geology, Geophysics, or Earth Sciences
7+ years of experience in subsurface mapping and stratigraphic interpretation
Proficiency in Petrel, Kingdom, or GeoFrame
Strong understanding of basin analysis and structural geology
Experience working in unconventional or tight-rock plays
