Roles and responsibilities for the Dickies Store Manager position at Oklahoma City Outlets, including leadership of store operations, customer service, merchandising, staffing, and loss prevention to drive store profitability and brand standards. Responsibilities
Responsible for all aspects of Store Operations. Accountable for store profits by maximizing sales, providing excellent customer service, managing inventory and controlling expenses. Ensures that all Williamson-Dickie Retail Stores Co. policies and procedures are implemented, as stated in store manuals and memos. Maintains principles and standards of merchandise presentation, daily operations and personnel activity. Performs other duties as required/assigned by supervisor. Specific Functions, Duties and Responsibilities
Sales Generation Aches monthly sales plan projections through personal salesmanship and management efforts. Maintains well-trained Assistant Sales Managers and/or Sales Associates who promote The Williamson-Dickie Retail Stores Co. products and image. Develops regular clientele and services their needs within Company guidelines. Develops knowledge of products and industry trends. Maintains awareness of competitive activity and communicates issues to the General Manager – Retail Stores as appropriate. Purges inventory of defective/damaged goods by implementing clearance procedures and damages out of stock. Customer Service Ensures all customers are greeted and engaged. Schedules staff to maximize customer service during peak periods. Staff Supervision and Training Actively recruits and hires Sales Associates and Assistant Sales Managers and completes their training per Company programs to meet performance standards. Ensures the store is properly staffed to meet scheduling needs. Follows Company criteria for hiring, coaching, disciplining, promoting and terminating staff with proper approvals. Merchandising Implements basic Company merchandising principles and standards for sales floor displays. Manages signage and display of catalogs, advertisements and seasonal promotions as directed. Ensures stock is represented on the sales floor and adheres to housekeeping policies. Expense Control Ensures payroll guidelines are followed. Controls variable expenses within approved levels. Daily Store Operations and Documentation Ensures day-to-day activities follow Company policy and procedures. Uses POS equipment as determined by the Company and completes required forms/documents on time. Fulfills requests for detail from Home Office. Protection of Company Assets Accounts for all merchandise movement; maintains paperwork and POS accuracy to prevent losses. Responsible for physical store inventory and security measures during and after hours. Reports dishonesty incidents to General Manager – Retail Stores and handles freight claims. Maintains key control and premises security, changing locks as needed after staff changes. Store Maintenance and Appearance Maintains physical store standards and coordinates major repairs with General Manager – Retail Stores for approval. Self-Development Completes special projects from Home Office or General Manager – Retail Stores and seeks to advance personal knowledge and management skills. Physical Capabilities
40-hour minimum work week with evenings, weekends and holidays as required. Ability to move and lift up to 50 lbs with proper equipment. Ability to use all equipment, ladders and fixtures provided by the Company. Skills, Attributes and Experience
College degree or equivalent retail management experience. Proven sales ability and effective leadership. Strong oral and written communication; analytical and problem-solving skills. Basic merchandising ability; proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Professional appearance and presentation. Compensation and Benefits
Hiring Range:
$63,400.00 USD - $79,250.00 USD annually Incentive Potential:
