Base pay range : $24.00/hr - $24.00/hr
About The Club Established in 1887, Denver Country Club is recognized as the first club west of the Mississippi and one of the most prestigious private clubs in the country. The 585 member, by invitation only private club, hosts an 18 hole golf course, two indoor golf simulators (Foresight Quads), indoor and outdoor tennis, platform tennis, pickleball, ice hockey, lawn bowling, croquet, casual and fine dining. The club has been recognized as a Top 100 Platinum Club of America by the Club Leaders Forum. DCC has a long history of golf championships including the Denver Open (PGA Tour Event 1962-1964), Trans-Mississippi Amateur (2022) Pacific Coast Amateur and Curtis Cup (1984). A Golf Course renovation was completed in 2020 - Gil Hanse. The renovation has helped to secure Denver Country Club as one of the premier golf courses in the Western United States. The Golf Shop is consistently recognized as an AGM Platinum Award Winning Golf Shop (Top 100) and has been recognized as a multiple winner of the Colorado Section PGA Merchandiser of the Year - Private Category.

Responsibilities
Provide ongoing, hands-on training with banquet staff. Leads by example.
Prepares staff for each event by delegating tasks prior to, during, and after every event.
Leads pre and post shift meetings with all staff assigned to each event.
Inspects function area prior to event start for correctness and appearance according to the details on the BEO
Work with kitchen staff to ensure accuracy of event menu and preferences
Inspect all event areas after the function to ensure area is tidied and cleared prior to leaving
Plan for future functions by getting prep work completed during any down time
Ensures functions are billed correctly and completely after each event
Assists Banquet Manager with scheduling for all banquet staff to ensure proper service
Other tasks as assigned by the Manager
Qualifications
Prior Experience as a Captain in a dining or banquet facility
Great upbeat attitude and a passion for service
Must have great communication skills & follow through skills
Work a flexible schedule
Works holidays and/or weekend based on demand
Can work well in a fast paced, yet friendly work environment
Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull banquet related items
Must be able to stand and walk on your feet for long periods of time
