Lecturer or Lecturer Doctoral Schedule - Nursing FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT Lehman College, of The City University of New York, invites applications for a full-time Lecturer or Doctoral Lecturer position beginning Spring 20. The Department of Nursing is housed in the School of Health Sciences, Human Services and Nursing (HS2N). The School includes six departments and the CUNY Institute for Health Equity, with a focus on urban populations, health equity, and community engagement. The department seeks a candidate with strong educational commitment to undergraduate and graduate nursing education. Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in classroom, lab, and/or clinical settings as assigned by the department chair and aligned with the candidate’s credentials and experience. Provide academic advising and mentoring to nursing students to support their academic and professional development. Provide service to the department, college, university, and community (e.g., committee work, administrative duties). Evening, weekend, online, hybrid, and face-to-face teaching may be required. Prepare and update course materials to reflect current evidence-based practice and meet course objectives. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to promote student engagement and success. Participate in curriculum review and development to ensure alignment with professional standards and program learning outcomes. Contribute to course and program-level assessment activities including accreditation and program evaluation processes. Maintain regular office hours for student advisement and support. Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and initiatives as assigned. Attend faculty development sessions, conferences, or workshops relevant to teaching and nursing practice. Qualifications

Essential: Ph.D. degree in an area of nursing experience or equivalent; ability to teach successfully; demonstrated scholarship or achievement; ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution. Lecturer: Master’s degree in Nursing with ability to teach adult health and/or mental health and/or pediatric/maternal health nursing; excellent organizational skills; experience in a large and diverse program; administrative skills; ability to cooperate with others; note: accrediting bodies require a master’s in nursing for BS programs. Lecturer on a Doctoral Schedule: PhD, EdD, DNS, or DNP in Nursing with ability to teach adult health and community-based care; excellent organizational skills; experience in a large and diverse program; administrative skills; ability to cooperate with others; note: accrediting bodies require a master’s in nursing for BS programs. Compensation

Lecturer:

$95,302-$101,737 Lecturer/Doctoral Schedule:
