Overview

Summary: Responsible for performing sterilization procedures on medical instruments and equipment in accordance with established procedures, infection control standards, industry standards, recommended practices on sterilization and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities

Processes specialty and general instruments. Resets instrument sets without error. Decontaminates instruments and equipment according to procedure. Maintain Central Sterile Department stock levels. Prepares and assembles surgical trays and equipment following established tray listings for issue, storage, or further processing. Communicates instrument repair needs to supervisor. Night Shift - 10p-6:30a or 11p-7a Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent required Experience

related experience 1-2 years preferred Licenses and Credentials

Certified Registered Central Service Technician [CRCST] - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of case cart assembly. Familiarity with the regulatory standards of materials management. Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance. Physical Requirements
